The Nash-Rocky Mount school district in North Carolina is one of the largest school districts in the state – and one that still allows corporal punishment in their schools.
However, on Monday, March 7th, the Nash-Rocky Board of Education is voting on whether or not to ban corporal punishment in their schools. This would be a huge step towards flipping the state of NC.
The UJ* Team has sent each Nash-Rocky Board of Education member a “paddle package” to help move along the conversation. These packages contained a paddle, our Pledge, and a letter from Marc Eckō informing the Board how important their decision is, and letting them know that America is watching…
Please stand with us in urging the Nash-Rocky school district to ban corporal punishment from their schools! Click Here for a list of the board members and their contact info. Call them and let them know it’s time for change!
Feel free to let us know how your conversation went in the comments, and check back here for the result of their vote on Monday!
